Experience one of Australia's most celebrated wine regions on a relaxed, fun-filled day from Sydney. Our private Hunter Valley wine tours are designed for groups and can be tailored to suit your preferences, making every tour a little different while showcasing the very best of the region.
Your journey begins with a comfortable drive from Sydney aboard one of our modern vehicles. Sit back, enjoy a coffee or snack, take in the ever-changing scenery, and relax as you travel towards Australia's premier wine country.
Our first stop is a favourite among guests – a delicious chocolate and cheese tasting at the charming Pokolbin Village, a small collection of shops in the Hunter Valley wine region. Sample handcrafted chocolates and gourmet cheeses before the wine tasting begins.
Next, it's time to visit some of the Hunter Valley's outstanding cellar doors. With more than 150 cellar doors to choose from, every tasting showcases the passion and craftsmanship of the local winemakers. During your guided tastings, you'll discover why the Hunter Valley is Australia's oldest wine region, dating back to 1823 with the establishment of Australia's first commercial vineyard. Learn what makes the region internationally renowned for its iconic Semillon, exceptional Shiraz and premium boutique wines, all while sampling a carefully selected range of local favourites.
Midday, enjoy a relaxed lunch at one of the Hunter Valley's vibrant pub brewery combos, with both indoor and outdoor seating and views over the vineyards. Lunch and a complimentary drink are included, giving you time to unwind and soak up the region's laid-back atmosphere. However, beer paddles are at your own expense.
The afternoon continues with additional guided tastings at hand-picked boutique wineries, each offering its own unique wines, character and hospitality. If you'd like to make your experience even more memorable, you can upgrade one tasting to include an exclusive behind-the-scenes winery tour or swap a winery visit for a local distillery, where you'll sample award-winning organic gin, vodka, schnapps and liqueurs.
Before heading home, we'll stop among the vineyards for photos and, with a little luck, the chance to spot wild kangaroos in their natural habitat—a perfect way to finish your Hunter Valley experience.
Relax on the drive back to Sydney, with a comfort stop along the way, before arriving home after a memorable day of great wine, delicious food and unforgettable scenery.
